Carbon Steel ASTM A234 WPB Buttweld Fittings Manufacturers in India, ASTM A420 LTCS WPL6 & WPL3 Pipe Fittings Price, ASTM A860 Pipe Fittings Exporter
Carbon steel Pipe Fiting is made by an alloy of iron and carbon. There is no prescribed minimum content of other alloying elements for carbon steels; however, they often contain manganese. Carbon Steel ASTM A234 WPB Reducer Pipe Fittings cannot be hardened (to martensite) by heat treating, so this is usually achieved by cold working. Carbon steels are usually relatively soft and have low strength. However, Carbon Steel ASME SA 234 WPB Concentric Reducer Pipe Fittings have high ductility, which makes them excellent for machining, welding, and low cost. They have higher strengths, which is achieved through heat treatment. ASME SA 420 LTCS WPL6 Eccentric Reducer Pipe Fittings also retain their ductility, making them easily formable and machinable.
We as a Metalfed Engineering is a well-known manufacturer and exporter of CS Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings, which are very wear-resistant because they are almost always tempered. The mechanical properties of this ASTM A420 Low Temperature Carbon Steel WPL6 Equal Tee Pipe Fittings are enhanced by an authentic heat treatment followed by quenching and tempering, giving it a martensitic microstructure.
A Specialized Manufacturer of ASTM A234 WPB Pipe Elbow, ASTM A420 Gr WPL6 Tee, ASTM A420 grade WPL3 Cross, ASTM A860 WPHY 52 Bends, ASME B16.9 Carbon Steel Seamless Fittings, Carbon Steel Weld Fittings in all Dimensions and Sizes.
Heat treatment can only be performed on very thin sections; however additional alloying elements such as chromium, molybdenum and nickel can be added to enhance the steel’s ability to be heat treated and thus hardened. Carbon Steel ASTM A860 Lateral Tee Pipe Fittings have higher strength; however, this is at the expense of ductility and toughness. ASTM A234 WPB Buttweld Fittings has the highest hardness and toughness of carbon steels and the lowest ductility.

ASTM A234 Fitting Classes for Grades
CR : Corrosion resistant grade. S through WU Classes do not apply.
WPB-S : Seamless
WPB-W : Welded, Weldable, RT or UT all pipe starting material welds made with filler metal. All carbon steel pipe ffitting manufacturer welds except as excluded in A/SA234.
If UT is substituted for RT, all welds must be examined 100% for their length as required by A/SA234.
WPB-WX : RT all welds with or without filler metal.
WPB-WU : UT all welds with or without filler metal.
grade-grade-class : Insert grades (WPB-WPB) and class (S,W,WX, or WU). Applies to fittings meeting all chemical and physical requirements of both grades.
Carbon Steel Pipe Fittings Dimensional Tolerances
Tolerances of butt weld fittings (in inches) according to ASME/ANSI B16.9. for all carbon alloy fittings except short radius elbows and returns (ASME/ANSI B16.28).

Carbon Steel Dimensions and Tolerances MSS SP-43
The tolerances and dimensions defined in MSS SP-43 are substantially the same as defined in ASME/ANSI specifications (½ to 24 in). MSS SP-43 only covers buttweld fittings made for use with Schedule 10S and 5S pipe as defined in ANSI/ASME B36.19M also it covers short pattern stub ends suitable for use with Schedule 40S pipe.
- MSS SP-43 tolerances are the same as for ASME/ANSI B16.9 and B16.28 except with regard to the outside diameter at the bevel:
- Tolerance of OD at Bevel =
- ± 0.03 in for NPS ½ to 4
- +0.06, -0.03 in for NPS 5 to 8
- +0.09, -0.03 in for NPS 10 to 18
- +0.12, to -0.03 in for NPS 20 to 24
