Stress-relieving is performed at 500°F – 900°F (260°C – 482°C) and then air-cooled. ANSI 150 Raised Face Flanges is resistant to a variety of corrosive media; however, the corrosion properties are not as good as with chromium-nickel steels. It is a modification in which the chromium and nickel content is reduced to increase the work hardening range.
