An eccentric reducer is similar to a concentric reducer in function, but its centerline is offset from the centerline of the connecting pipes. This type of fitting is used in piping systems where there is a need to maintain the same fluid flow rate, but also reduce the pressure in the system. Eccentric reducers are commonly used in industries such as chemical processing, pulp and paper, and food and beverage.
